I LOVE YOU, LITTLE ONE is an elegant and lovely book that speaks to parental love. Perfect for bedtime, this pop-up board book is filled with gorgeous illustrations that show baby and parent animals (no genders as it is written in first person). The text is softly rhyming, making this a lovely poem that expresses love for the listener.

What I loved: The full-page illustrations in this book are undeniably gorgeous. My favorite is that of the parent and baby squirrel among the fall foliage in the forest, but they are all truly lovely. The pop-ups only add to the beauty and some extra visual interest for small readers. The phrases are a beautiful way to say "I love you" to your child, filled with the joy of spending time together and the value of the memories made. The poetic rhyming on each page adds to the auditory appeal of the book when read aloud.

The text is clear and printed large enough to make it easy to read. The pop-ups themselves are sturdy and thus hard to rip. They are also placed well, adding a lot of visual interest to each scene. The many animal species featured will also appeal to young readers, including penguins, seals, elephants, squirrels, and bears. Other animals are also featured in the background of these scenes. The pages are also thick and easy to turn with the extra spacing from the pop-ups, making this great for older infants and young toddlers who are beginning to interact with books and turn the pages themselves.

Final verdict: Absolutely gorgeous and full of beautiful messages of love, I LOVE YOU, LITTLE ONE is a fantastic new pop-up board book that is a delight for adults to share with the young readers in their lives. Cuddle close to enjoy this perfect bedtime book.
