What I loved:
The illustrations in this book are unique and eye catching, engaging the children from the outset. The story carries an important message about manners. There is a more subtle underlying theme of not judging others by their appearances, explored extensively enough for children to understand. That, along with turning the classic Goldilocks story on its head, encourages the reader to think twice about their preconceived notions, to delve deeper into what they think they know.
All of this is delivered in an entertaining and amusing manner, with humorous dialogue and vivid pictures.

The Bottom Line:
Goldilocks for Dinner effectively teaches children about manners and the importance of keeping an open mind. It's a perfect addition to any classroom or bedtime collection.
