BABIES CAN SLEEP ANYWHERE is a cute rhyming book about sleep. The book goes through where animals sleep (e.g. puppy dogs sleep in a pile on the rug), before declaring (repeated) that babies can sleep anywhere! The images are full page and colorful with plenty of animals throughout. The text is a fun rhyme with a great rhythm that is appealing to read.
What I loved: The babies and animal illustrations in this book were adorable with high appeal to young readers. I would recommend this book for a younger crowd, such as infants and toddlers, who can appreciate the simple phrasing, rhyming and rhythm of the text, and the lovely images. I also love the diversity of families and animals shown plus the classic-style of illustrations. They are really visually fun for young children and parents alike.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, and considering the amount of attention paid to sleep for infants, one of the illustrations of where babies can sleep were not great. For instance, the one of the baby sleeping in the inner tube on the water, but the rest were pretty cute (like asleep in the tray of food or in a baby carrier).
Final verdict: Overall, this is a sweet and rhythmic rhyming board book that will be fun for older infants and toddlers to enjoy. With many babies and baby animals, there is a lot to enjoy visually in this cute bedtime book.
