THE WOBBLY WAITRESS is a silly read that will make young children giggle. Mabel is a giraffe waitress at the Zoo Cafe, and normally she is very good at her job. However, today, she has caught the hiccups, and this makes her wobble and drop the plates she is carrying all over the customers. The customers at the cafe are friends with Mabel, and so to help her out, they decide to scare her hiccups away.

Told in rhyming phrases with sketch-like illustrations, this book is giggly fun for young children who will laugh as Mabel drops food on people and wobbles to and fro. Luckily, the ultimate message is one of understanding and trying to help her- which ends in a big BOO that children will enjoy joining in on.

What I loved: The rhyming phrases are really well done and have a great rhythm that make reading the book fun. The illustrations follow the text perfectly, and this is always enjoyable for young readers/listeners. The story is silly and so is sure to be enjoyably fun for young ones.

Final verdict: Humorous, silly, and cute, this picture book is sure to delight preschoolers who will enjoy the rhyming text and funny story about a wobbly giraffe with the hiccups.
