In this hilarious adventure, Pig the Pug STINKS! Pig likes to be smelly, so he rolls around in the garbage, laps up spoiled milk, tracks dirty paw prints all over the house, and even sticks his head in the toilet! But enough is enough! Pig's owner tries to get him to take a bath, but Pig refuses! Pig has a plan to stop up the tub, but when it backfires, will Pig get clean after all?

Rich with author-illustrator Aaron Blabey's signature rhyming text and unforgettable illustrations, Pig the Stinker is a laugh-out-loud story that teaches Pig -- and readers -- an important (and hilarious) lesson, just like in the five previous books in the series (Pig the Pug, Pig the Winner, Pig the Elf, Pig the Star, and Pig the Fibber).

PIG THE STINKER follows Pig the Pug on a new adventure- bath time! Pig does not like to bathe, and it’s clear he’s pretty gross. When his owner tries to give him a bath, Pig does everything he can to avoid it and even makes the bathroom explode! However, he ends up getting a bath in the end.

With rhyming text and fun illustrations, this book will certainly appeal to the young elementary audience who will giggle along with Pig’s antics. Blabey has certainly captured the grossness of Pig, who does not want to bathe, and this is conveyed through all the images in a way that will delight young children.

What I loved: The rhyming text and illustrative pictures will capture children’s imagination and laughs. Pig the Pug is a fun character, and his antics in this book take it to the next level. Reluctant bathers will relate to the storyline but still get the message about the importance of hygiene. This book is plain funny and fun.

Final verdict: With detailed and colorful images, Pig the Pug demonstrates the importance of hygiene through his hilarious antics. This will make elementary school aged readers laugh out loud as they enjoy the rhyming text and funny images.
