SUMMER BABIES is a fun board book that celebrates summer with babies playing in the park. Using summery colors and bugs (bees, butterflies, and spiders) in vivid images, this adorable book is a great addition to the Babies in the Park series. The book is written in rhyming phrases with two-word sentences (e.g. “Bees zoom.”) that will appeal to older infants and young toddlers.

What I loved: This lovely book is full of great illustrations with bright colors and adorable toddlers/babies plus bugs and animals. Toddlers will love flipping through the pages quickly with the short phrases and full page images. The children are very diverse, and it is lovely to see them all playing together in this charming book.

What left me wanting more: As a minor point, the children featured are called babies but often look a little older than that. However, babies/toddlers will still enjoy watching them have fun in the park!

Final verdict: This gorgeous book celebrates summer and babies in a delightful way that young toddlers and infants will adore. Be prepared to read and reread this charming book with your little ones.
