This adorable board book features touchable pages along with messages of love. The left side features large words and a phrase of why the child reading is loved with the right side showing a bug with wings or feet in touchable felt.

What I loved: The thick pages with gaps (due to the felt producing page separations) make it easy for small fingers to turn the pages on their own. The felt accents, which can be pulled and moved from the page, are a delight for young ones to touch and feel. Taken together, this makes for a book which young ones can fully explore on their own, turning pages easily and touching the bugs. The font is large and easy to read from a distance, which makes reading this to little ones easy. The content is very sweet and makes you want to hug your little one while going through it.

What left me wanting more: The felt is inserted under a relatively thin part of the page, which makes it a little easy to tear for toddlers who love to pull on things. A thicker cover holding the felt would make this harder to damage. The book is short and without a clear storyline (each page features an independent statement of love and a bug), which is helpful for the youngest readers, but will be too short for older toddlers.

Final verdict: Overall, this is a sweet book with messages of love and easily touchable bugs. This is better for the youngest audiences (infants who are exploring books and turning pages as well as young toddlers), as there is not a cohesive storyline and relatively few pages. The best part is that infants and young toddlers can easily turn the pages and explore the book on their own, making this great for the littlest readers.
