In the Rain
On a rainy day, a young girl makes a paper boat, splashes in puddles, makes mud pies, and has other springtime fun!
Elizabeth Spurr and Manelle Oliphant together create a perfect sit-in-your-lap reading experience for toddlers.
"Water flows. Make a boat. Sail in stream. Off it floats!" I love the rhyming scheme and the pictures are adorable. This is the perfect story for toddlers who love water or rain. It's short and sweet for the parents as well.
This has easily become my daughter's new favorite book. She has me read it over and over and it's a great form of bonding for us. The little girl in IN THE RAIN always has her puppy dog at her side and my daughter loves pointing it out.
Final Verdict: This is a good story to promote parent/child bonding. It's also a great one for fans of water, rain, rhyming, dogs, and easy reads.
