Awesome book! In this book Brian is trapped in the winter time not summer like Hatchet.My favorite part in the book is when he fights with the bear,and the funniest part i think is when he actually pees and the pee FREEZES! because of the cold weather.He even has beter tools and is way more prepared than in Hatchet.I definetly recommend it!!!

I think this book had a good idea behind it. But it was very graphic, disturbing and utterly not my type of book. I had to read this for class and I had trouble each night, trying to contain my vomit. THe very idea of a person gutting out a moose and deer is just sick and wrong.

I could hardly take it and don't understand why any of you like this book. It was disgusting, explicit and filled to the top with animal cruelty

this is the sequele to hatchet i blieve. brain is again out in the wilderness and has to suffer a ver hard long winter. (i think)

i havent read this book and im not going to. i am reveiwing it because if its anything like the first book no one should read it.

Brians winter is one of the best books I have every read.Gary Paulson is a awsome writer.Brain is a real adventures story.He writes his storeys on things that have happened to him.He has a magnifacent way of writing things. It is wonderful that he had 9 heart attacks and lived. I thimk he should write more books about brain

Brian's Winter is a sequel to Hatchet. The main idea is if Brian wasn't rescued. Brian makes friends with a skunk, gets attacked by bears, kills a moose, builds a shelter, and wishes he was home. Gary Paulsen is brilliant, creative, and very descriptive in Brian's Winter. I would suggest this book to anyoine abovev age seven. I really enjoyed reading Brian's Winter. The next time you want to flipp on the T.V. stop yourself and read Brian's Winter.

Brian's Winter is a VERY good book. It may have some nasty parts, but it is a great book. It is a book that is what wuold happen if in Hatchet if Brian hadn't been rescued. Brian gets attacked, nearly frozen to death, has encounters with wolves, and makes a skunk his friend. I just had to read on! Gary Paulsen is a brilliant author who creates a great story. I highly suggest you read Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen. It's the best book ever written by anyone.
