Mr. King is a kitty cat who loves to get new stuff. Don't we all? But he's even worse than us Americans because once his things become 'the tiniest bit old,' he throws them into a pond. What follows is a pretty hilarious tale about how he ends up getting everything back. His adorable little friends get involved and help him see the value in his stuff, and the silliness of discontentment is conveyed in a delightful manner. Bright, quirky drawings add to the mix for an all-around great picture book.
