Wilderness Days (Boston Jane #2)
Will Jane survive the challenges of the wild, uncharted frontiers of friendship, love, and the Washington Territory?
In the second book of the Boston Jane series, Jane is still stuck in Washington Territory, and is feeling especially desolate when she learns that her father has died. Jane feels taken-for-granted when the newly arrived Mrs. Frink (who can seemingly do no wrong) garners all the attention-- except Jehu's. But after what happened with her last fiance, Jane is convinced Jehu just wants to marry her in order to get more land. She decides to go home to Philadelphia-- but first her conscience sends her on a harrowing journey through the wilderness with two handsome young men who are bent on driving her crazy. With blizzards, grizzly bears, and thieves, can Jane possibly get through this journey unscathed?
After reading the first Boston Jane book, I was mildly intrigued to find out what happened next. After reading this one, I can't wait to get my hands on #3! Jane was still slightly annoying, but her jealousy over Mrs. Frink was much easier to understand than her infatuation with William in book one, and the relationship between her and Jehu has so much chemistry that I expected the book to explode in my hands. Definitely worth a read!
