Kid Review: Where’s the Cat? by Ingela P Arrhenius

About This Book:

A pet-themed title in this best-selling series

Five beautifully illustrated spreads show a series of pets, including a goldfish, a dog, a guinea pig, and a cat hiding behind bright felt flaps. With a mirror on the final page, this is the perfect book to share with very little ones.

Animal Peekaboo

This book is inviting to little hands. The illustrations are bright and the animals featured are bold and friendly. The felt material for the lift of the flap makes it easy to manipulate. Young readers love games of peekaboo and will be sure to giggle in delight at the mirror at the end.
Final Verdict: I cannot wait to use this book with my younger students. Featuring common pets is especially useful to young readers that live in animal-free homes so that they can learn the names and sights and do not start school at a disadvantage to their peers that have pets. I hope the felt flap holds up to the love of little readers.
