GO WILD! SEA TURTLES is a really fascinating book that teaches young children all about sea turtles. The book gives all the basics, including what they eat, where they live, and other cool facts. The book ends by speaking about why they are endangered and what you can do to help. Throughout the book, there are really high quality photographs that portray the text perfectly. For instance, when it talks about what they eat, it shows pictures of turtles eating those things and also discusses how their mouths are made for those types of food.

What I loved: There are a lot of cool things to learn about the seven species of sea turtles around the world. I particularly enjoyed the photos of real turtles, which vividly brought turtles and their lives into focus for young readers. The text is perfect for toddlers/preschoolers and early elementary school aged readers who will enjoy looking at the animals and learning all about them. The short sentences with basic facts work well for the age group, and the art around the photographs make it a cool book to look at. The backmatter contains a game, parent tips for ways to make turtle-themed activities to round out the learning experience, and a glossary. I also appreciated that includes ways that children can help (proposing a family beach cleanup) to help inspire and empower young children.

Final verdict: Whether already a fan of sea turtles or not, GO WILD! SEA TURTLES is a delightful nonfiction picture book sure to inspire young learners. Highly recommend for preschoolers and young elementary school aged readers to enjoy with their parents.
