ULTIMATE EARTH: DINOSAURS is a cool collection of facts about dinosaurs with flaps and fold-out pages. The book includes some groupings such as biggest beasts, deadly dinosaurs, and weird and wonderful. Each spread is filled with short facts with illustrations. The book ends with "Dead or Alive?" which talks about the asteroid that may have destroyed the dinosaurs.

What I loved: There are a lot of great facts about dinosaurs throughout that will definitely give dinosaur lovers some new things to talk about. This would also be great for kick-starting other learning, as the information is relatively broad. The lift-the-flap and fold-out pages add some extra interactive fun, great for young readers. The illustrations have lots of color and details that add to the fun for early readers.

What left me wanting more: The flaps and fold out pages are relatively thin and delicate, so they could be ripped by tough readers. There are also some items that may not work for young/sensitive readers, such as the dinosaurs attacking each other (no blood) and the extinction discussion at the end.

Final verdict: ULTIMATE EARTH: DINOSAURS is a great collection of dinosaur facts for children who love to learn new things about dinosaurs. Recommend for elementary school aged readers.
