This novel is about the Boudelaire children working in the carnival undercover when they meet new characters who have very different special abilities. It showed how unique carnivals can really be and are discovering new information about their parents death, if they really are dead.
Lets go to the carnival and watch someone be eaten by lions. After escaping from Count Olaf one more time the orphans disguise themselves as a wolf baby and a two headed freak. They mee the fourtune teller and try to help her. In the end there is no way to help her. Befriended by a ambidextrous man, a contortionist, and a humpback, the orphans try to find out the mystery of their parents death, and the possibility of one of them still being alive. What a wonderful way to spend the day.
So much happens in the ninth book of the series. Once again great characters are introduced....and unintroduced(wink, wink). This is a must read and I definately want everyone to read it. After Number Eight, the drama has definately increased and it keeps on going. Read it, Enjoy, and move on to number 10. CW
This book digs deeper into the Baudelaire mystery of whether or not one of their parents could possibly be alive.
The Baudelaire children are once again in unfortunate circumstances. This time they are disguised as freaks at a carnival located in the middle of nowhere. If you liked the previous books in this series, this one will not dissapoint you. It contains much misery and several unfortunate experieces with a lion pit, talcum powder, and several events of deja vu.
