When you first start reading this book the villian is kind of hard to identify with, because we arent sure if he is a villian or a good guy. his transition from being the villian to hero is quite interesting it shows that not every persons feelings are set in stone and sometimes people will do what is right just for the sake of doing what is right.
The object of the story changes halfway through. which means that the whole story changes. through much laughter, and consternation at the scarey aunt we are taken to a new place an Island of a magic lion with wings. I liked this half of the book better then the first, but I think that just has to do with my appeal towards fantasy. I would still recomend this book to anyone out for an adventure, or anyone who ever ran away from home and didnt make it. read the story of someone who did.
