What I loved: The concept is really simple, but done in a way that is easy for young readers to follow and enjoy. The illustrations throughout are really lovely and feature lots of fun colors and details plus ideas for play. The book is sure to inspire new imaginative play among little readers.
What left me wanting more: The playing artist scene features coloring on the walls, which is not a great example to show and may need to be addressed, depending on how artistically inclined your little readers already are. Most scenes are relatively harmless messes (if at all).
Final verdict: A cute board book about imagination and friendship, WAKE UP, LET'S PLAY is an overall charming adventure through a fun-filled day.
