What I loved: The illustrations are very fun, capturing all the joy of summer and playing with other children on your street. I appreciated that there were several skintones for the children, adding some diversity to the characters.
What left me wanting more: I am not sure about the labeling of some children "bad guys" is ideal, especially when the qualities are just related to hygiene; however, this seems to be mostly related to play. The examples related to hygiene, such as brushing teeth and burping, are also not great examples to set. At the end, the children suggest switching roles the next day, so it does seem to be a temporary label.
Final verdict: Overall, a book of summer fun, GOOD GUYS, BAD GUYS is a picture book of the roles children play in games.
