What I loved: The illustrations are lovely, with few colors, but plenty of details to keep children engaged. The storyline is ultimately one of familial love and adventure, which can speak to little ones in a fresh way. The writing is quite poetic and does not overwhelm the story with a great word-to-picture ratio. It ends up being lovely when read aloud. This book has broad appeal for young readers, with even toddlers and preschoolers able to enjoy this story. Although Teetu does get lost, it is short-lived and the focus remains on (exciting) adventure and familial love.
Final verdict: Beautifully written and illustrated, THE BOLD, BRAVE BUNNY appeals to a sense of adventure with ultimate messages of love and belonging. This lovely picture book is poised perfectly for a wide age range of readers with its lyrical text and elegant illustrations.
