However, when Nacho tries it out, he finds out that it is way too scary. Luckily, the other Pikmis come together to help Wubbs create a new haunted tree house that is even better! At the end, Wubbs and Vampy come together and decide that with friendship, they both win! Next year, they will do one together.
What I loved: The book is full of bright and vivid images with many neon colors that will appeal to preschoolers. The story is also cute with the message of friendship and Halloween that can be enjoyed by children. Adding that to the use of toys, and children who are fans of the toys will love this book and the whole book series that gives them new ideas for play and the characters. The book also comes with stickers that are scented sweet (probably like donuts as the stickers are all pikmis with donuts) that give kids some extra fun to create their own story/artwork or just to play with.
What left me wanting more: As a very small thing, the book is quite wordy, which makes it better for the older crowd. The font is also very small and a little hard to read, making it a bit of a small challenge to read aloud. Would recommend for readers who can do on their own or for older picture book readers who have patience to listen to the story.
Final verdict: Overall, this is a cute and fun Halloween story about friendship! With the added bonus of stickers and the vivid illustrations, this book will appeal to the preschool and elementary school crowd.
