Park's story about the tragic bike accident of a young boy is a different literary experience from what grade-schoolers are used to. Its very sad, but is a worthwhile read as every child must have an understanding of death as a part of life. When I read the book in fifth grade, it made me cry. But as a result, I still remember it clearly a decade later. Park does a great job of telling a tragic story from a child's point of view so that, likewise, a child can relate to it.
