The latest addition to the Beginner Books series fits in well with the type of books we've come to expect. With the exception of a few rhymes whose rhythm threw me off just a bit, the prose is a nice, steady cadence that encourages early readers to move quickly through the story. The plot is lively and interesting, with some mild life lessons thrown in, and the illustrations are done in the classic Beginner Books style. There's just the right amount of silliness, action, mild danger, and interesting resolution to keep this book on the favorites shelf of many early readers.
