I really enjoyed reading this book with my children. I think it sets a good example and lets children know that it's okay if it's hard to pay attention in class sometimes and what to do about it. It opens the door to this discussion with children and I am all for that. I also like how Martin's teacher doesn't punish him for daydreaming, she actually lets him talk about what he was thinking! What a great example for all of us.
This is an adorable story that the entire family will love. There is even mention of poems, and a cute poem in the story. Since my eldest loves poems, it helped us to talk more about poems and the prospect of writing our own. A delightful story that your entire household can enjoy together!
