This book was kinda weird. It is like what happened before and after the Pied Piper. it sounds okay, but it just gets pretty weird
So, Penelope is 101 years old (you can't forget it, she tells you about 10 times that her name is Penelope, and she is 101) and 90 years ago, on her 11th brithday she became deaf, just like that. Then, of course, we get into the whole Pied Piper thing. He comes and takes all the rats and then doesn't get paid, so he takes all the kids. Penelope obviously cannot hear him, so she doesn't follow. That's normal enough, right? Well, then she 'deep dreams' and she goes to rescue all the kids with her cat Scally, and these Trovolonians. But all the kids are rats, so she transforms them back, and then she goes back to Hamelin, and all the kids come back too.Â
I would really reccommed skipping this book. Its really weird and mildly creepy. Â The reading wasn't smooth, and it moves so slow. The storyline is hard to follow, and it really was a just plain boring book.
