Review Detail5.0 1
Ive been fooled before by silly titles. Im still drawn to them, though, so I keep trying out books that promise to be full of fun. This time, it paid off.
Follow Prince Harry of Armpit and the brave Sir Fartsalot on their adventure to find the source of the Foul West Wind, and then on to battle the evil Booger. You wont be sorry!
Sir Fartsalot is an amazingly well-written chapter book that equally balances the silly with the story.
Its one of those books that will have classrooms of kids leaning forward as their teachers read excerpts, begging for just one more chapter. Somewhere, a kid will be tucked under a blanket with his trusty flashlight, determined to finish reading before his parents check on him. Its just that good. One of those books. You know the ones.
And the illustrations by Stephen Gilpin are nothing to sneeze at, although the giant Booger certainly invites a whopping sneeze or two. These illustrations add even more humor to an already rich text. The cover changes in a way that will bring smiles to faces of passing consumers and have them backing up in bookstore aisles.
Yes, this one is a winner and a surefire entertainer. Teachers, take note!
