Eragon, the first book by Paolini was wonderful. I was pulled into it when a teen writer had wrote a book, which made me want to read it. I was captured by his great style of writing, as well as the dragon on the cover. Paolini gets five out of five for his first, expertly written novel.

The time of the Dragon Riders is back&

Young Eragon, a simple farm boy from a small town, is determined to seek revenge on a terrifying, evil, monstrous race known as the Razac after they destroy his home and loved ones.
Accompanied by an unexpected character, Eragon and his beautiful, newly hatched Dragon, Saphira, set out on a journey bigger than they could have ever deemed possible! Eragon and Saphira are put through the hardships of travel, battle, and any other difficult situation that you can think of!

As Eragon learns more and more about the great Dragon Riders and how they came to be, more and more questions seem to form. Who betrayed whom? Where? When? Why me!? Not only that, Eragon discovers more about his past and how he may have the entire fate of his land in his hands! On top of all of this confusion, Eragon still has to go through what any normal boy his age would have to go through!

Becoming one of the greatest books of our time, Eragon has been added to thousands and thousands of libraries worldwide! And not to mention, my personal favorite since last I can recall!

Whether you are a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter fan, or not even a reader at all, I recommend this book to you all! Please give this book a try and keep an open mind...You never know what might happen!

Thank you for your time and I hope that you enjoy Inheritance book number one as much as I did!

Best regards,
Carmen

This book is amazing. The range of images it invokes is superb. In fact it is so good its being made into a movie. I can't wait for the rest of it to come out.

Anyone who has ever read this book knows that this is an exact copy of Star Wars: A New Hope.

Like so: Eragon (Luke) the farmboy discovers a dragon egg(droid) while Eragon/Luke is away from the farm. The Empire(didn't even need to substitute!) attacks and destory it. Eragon/Luke meets Brom/Obi-wan and tries to avenge his uncle. Brom/Obi-Wan dies. Luke meets Murtagh/Hans, gets caught, rescues Arya/Leila and joins the Varden/Rebels.

Exactly the same, except here Brom/Obi-Wan dies before meeting Murtagh/Hans. The telepathic dragons and riders comes from Anne McCaffrey's the Dragonriders of Pern, and Each and every single one of the names are from Lord of the Rings. Sure he was 19 and graduated from high school at 15. But his parents owned a publishing company, and the book conviniently forgot to mention he was homeschooled.

This book reads like the Flintstones meets the jetsons. Sure the main idea was awesome, but it was taken from other people. If you thought you liked this book, watch A New Hope, read Return of the King, and Dragonflight, you'll see what I mean. Also, the author seems to think it makes to book better to add in cliched archaics here and there.

It is not a great book, but if you wanted to see how the Jedis would fair as Dragonriders with sword instead of lightsabres, then this book is a must read.

This is the epitomy of fantasy. Everything a fantasy book should have this one stakes claim. The action is contiue, and it has mystery and intrigue. The book is one of the best written I have ever read. It is a must read for anyone into fantasy.

Though this book obviously borrowed many things from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, it is still a good read. :) Paolini definately has a lot of talent, and I did enjoy reading this book. This is definately a must for young readers/authors.

I do think he could've been a little more original, but that's okay. And he did something in which I'm very happy of: he actually admitted that he did borrow things from other stories, but you know what else he did? He gave credit to those authors too. It's okay to borrow ideas from other authors as long as you give them credit. :) That's only one of the reasons why I like Paolini. Can't wait to read his next book. :D

Dear Readers:

I have heard that this book is a mix of Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, and more... Maybe that's true - maybe it isn't. Only Mr. Paolini knows the truth!

I enjoyed reading this book every time I read it (twice) because of Christopher Paolini's power to pull the Reader in, to pull them in so much, they don't want to set the book down. And why is this?

First of all, the characters are very well planned out, and that just allows the Reader to understand more from the plot. Eragon, Saphira, and Brom are characters we can connect with, and we understand them.

Secondly, the plot is PERFECT. I have never read a book that takes so many weird twists and turns. Thank goodness it's fiction, because Christopher has come up with SO much fiction items, it's even funner to read.

Third, and final, is the entire book together - from the beginning, to the end, the Reader is thrilled, and even on the last page, you are absolutely 100% aware that you want MORE!

I give this book a 5/5 rating, and a reccommendation for any Reader.
