This book is one of the best books I've ever read. It is about a boy who becomes the next generation of the famed Dragon Riders. This book will kept me on the edge of my seat the entie time. I recommend this book to everyone becuase of the world that Cristoher Paolini paints in yor mind. The plot twists and surprises will leave gibering nonsense until the next two books in the trilogy come out.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini is a wonderful fantasy book for all ages. Even though I find this book to be based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I think the author brought a different prospect to the story and was very creative. I would recommend this to anyone who likes elves or dragons.

Eragon, the first book by Paolini was wonderful. I was pulled into it when a teen writer had wrote a book, which made me want to read it. I was captured by his great style of writing, as well as the dragon on the cover. Paolini gets five out of five for his first, expertly written novel.

This is a wonderful book! Eragon is a new Dragon rider and the word is out! He will have to go through nany challenges to find the Varden! So many sad things happen, Sometimes I even cried reading the book! Eragon will make new friends, enemies, and meet a line full of changes. Can Eragon stay strong or will he surrender to the shade, urgles, and most of all, Galbatorox!

dude. it is obvious that Paolini has copied some bits from LOTR and Star Wars, but why should Paolini be singled out when u ur self said that Lucas and Tolkein had taken some stuff from other stories. It is not plagiarism because had ideas of his own. I mean come on HE CREATED HIS OWN LANGUAGE. SEVERAL TIMES. How would I know.... well my dad is a paralegal so I know this stuff.

Second what do u mean he had Plain Old Poor Writing. He had a huge range of vocabulary. Corpulent. lets see means Fat, stout or portly. so when he says "the skin around his face was dry and corpulent", he means his face was dry and fat. Another example: Prophecies means the foretelling or prediction of what is to come. so when he says "prophecies of revenge...rolled from his tongue", he means that the shade is predicting the future and the future in his case means revenge or death. etc etc.

So don't criticize this book if u do not have solid evidence that this is wrong. Look up the words before u make fun of it and also try and fit the meaning of the word to what it means in the sentence. There is an excellent website for this. Its called Dictionary.com. Use it!

Incase you don't know my other name is Spartan 0

This is a great book I read it in 2004. It's part of a series. It's about a boy named Eragon I think who gets a "gem". Later he finds out it's a dragon's egg. When shes older Eragon tries to ride her but unfortunately for him her back shreds the skin off his legs. lol. He makes friends with this old rider who is a person who owns a dragon. I think his name was Brom. Anyway they find an unconcious creature and take her to her home. Eragon later must duel a spirit of some kind.

The funniest part is when Eragon uses magic on his arrow and shoots it at an enemy explodes it and snuffs it cause he is drained of magic. Brom finds him later I think.
