I Have a Superpower is an inspiring story that emphasizes giving your all and having heart. Hughes seems like an ordinary kid who worries about not being good enough to play basketball, but it soon is revealed that he has a superpower that others have as well. The illustrations are adorable, and Hughes in his superhero mode is my favorite. There is movement in the picture and the colors are bright. The added list of hidden items to find in the book is a fun little bonus.

We chose this book because it was written by Steph Curry, my son's idol. I was excited to read this book with him. In the beginning, there was some disappointment that the story wasn't directly about Steph, but rather an inspirational story inspired by some of Curry's hardships. By the end of the story he was engrossed in the pictures and enjoyed it.

Final Verdict: I Have A Superpower has a positive message and will be enjoyed by elementary-aged children.
