Flipped is a book that is told both from the perspective of Juli and Bryce, who have been next-door neighbours for 6 years now. Juli has been in love with Bryce since he first moved in. Bryce? Well, let's just say that he thought she was creepy and weird. Now in eighth grade, Bryce finaly starts to realise what an amazing person Juli really is. But is it too late for them? Because Juli starts seeing past those blue eyes and starts to realise what a jerk Bryce has been to her.

Sometimes I get a little annoyed with books that tell the same scene from different perspectives, because I feel like they are just repeating stuff over and over. I didn't feel that way for Flipped, because it was really interesting to see the same scene, but one misinterpreting what the other is doing. And it is really great to see Juli falling out of love the same time Bryce is falling in love. It keeps you on your toes, like "Juli! Don't listen to that! He really likes you!" and things like that.

This is a really great book that I definitely recommend.

Flipped is about both Juli and Bryce. Next neighbours for years and years. Juli fell in love with Bryce when they were just eight, but Bryce thought she was a little creep. But now in eighth grade, Bryce finally starts to realise how amazing Juli really is, but Juli starts to realise how Bryce is not so great.

Told in two pints of view, Juli and Bryce, this book allows us to see how this amazing book develops, as well as the characters. Both Juli and Bryce are so different, but so alike each other. And it is really funny to see Juli falling out of love, but Bryce falling in, and it makes you think "Oh no! What's gonna happen now?!" This is a great thing for a book to have, and if this book was only that, it would be perfect. But it is more than perfect, because it has those little extras, like the journeys that each character takes.

This is a really cute book, and the movie is brilliant as well. I recommend it to everyone, because who wouldn't love this great read. Its funny, sweet and just plain awesome.

You know how you never forget a book? Yeah, there's tons of them like that. Flipped is numero uno on the list of unforgettable books. I believe this is the book that made me fall in love with alternative POV's. Juli and Bryce are such great characters and I love getting inside their heads.
Such a cute book!
And the movie is pretty great too! :)

I loved this book! It had funny, sweet moments and it was throroughly entertaining. It had a lot of life lessons on first love and it takes you back to when you were young. I am seventeen and I loved this book. It is for all ages, and I think that Wendelin Van Draanen is one of the best authors that I have seen in a while. It is recommended for anyone that likes a sweet story about two young kids. :)

This was a perfect coming-of-age novel! I loved "flipping" between the perspectives and watching the characters grow. Bryce particularly interested me. He seemed to undergo the most change out of all the characters and I'd have to say his family was pretty dysfunctional also. I admired Juli's spirit and she was definitely a person I could relate too. Although this book is intended for middle-school level. I'd still recommend it to others. It's a book anyone can enjoy.

During the following years, Juli has a hard time hiding her crush on Bryce. Bryce has an even harder time hiding from Juli, especially since they have every class together. These neighbors have barely shared a full conversation with each other, but thats about to change. When Bryces grandfather moves in with the Loskis, all these secrets start emerging from the Baker home while the Loskis house becomes uneasy. Things get said that cannot be taken back, and feelings start emerging that were never there. Are things just stiring up, or is it finally time the Loskis and Bakers have dinner together?

Review
Bryce and Juli were such great characters to read about. Especially since the book it written from both their point of views, it was really easy to relate. I could understand why Bryce thought Juli was an annoyance at first, but if hed just given Juli the time to explain herself, there would have never been a problem at all. Juli is the typical girl. She reads into everything that Bryce says and does, and interprets it the complete wrong way. It had me laughing because I could totally relate. Why do we girls do this to ourselves? The other characters were typical, ones that we can pick out in our everyday lives.
Flipped was a really cute story about first love and how things arent always what they seem. The story line was great, it really sucked me in. I really liked how it was expanded from the first day Bryce and Juli met, to present day. Flipped was a quick and easy read. And a really interesting, yet simiple cover.

I absolutely love this book. It's soo cute because it talks about a seven year old boy and a seven year old girl that just moves into his neighborhood. She likes him alot but he just wants to get as far away from her as possible. Later on, he starts to realize that she might not be that bad and that he might actually like her BUT, she starts to realize that he might not be the one she was looking for after all! It's all FLIPPED!

I LOVEEE THIS BOOK. I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND IT FOR EVERYONE.

Really cute story! I ? this book! It really isnt all about Bryce and Juli, but it has those special twists that make you love this book even more. Flipped was kind of sad at some parts when Bryce and Juli discover some things about themselves and their families. This book really took me by surprise thinking it would be a little cute love story, but there's way more meaning to it than that.

Ok, I have to be honest. I read this book in Middle School and won't ever read it again. It was so confusing, the switching between the girl and the boy.

Okay, it was then, and i have read more complex books then that, but I still won't read it again.

This was on the list of the Battle of the Books List. Of course no one has that contest no more, its the Reading Bowl now.

I thought it was ironic that she liked him and he didn't really care, now its flipped (aka title. He thinks there is more to her, and she doesn't care.

That is what i call real irnoy that coudl and will happen in the real world.

This was the first book I ever read were I felt I could not put the book down no matter what.
There need to be more books like this for the children of today. It offers a different view at the world, great people, and many reasons to laugh. The lessons are subtle, while the situations are ones that so many people can relate to.
It is a sweet coming-of-romance-age story that will delight many for years to come!
