My favorite favorite book!!! i loved loved loved it! i love this whole series! i think its so awesome that she has a bond with lissa and she can feel what she thinking and feeling! all from a car accident! and when they start to run and dimitri comes to take them back to school was awesome! he is a bad boy! but so is she! such a trouble maker! i love it! and i love that she started having feelings for dimitri! they are so cute together!
With the popularity of the Twilight series, it seems that teen vampire novels are multiplying rapdily. Most of them seem to have a twist on the classic vampire persona, and Vampire Academy is no different. In this story there are three types of vampires, as opposed to the normal one. What is different about this story though, is that it doesn't focus purely on love. While there is romance, this story is more about Rose's trials of training and protecting her best friend. The story is told wonderfully, and has a suprise twist near the end.
VampireAcademy is one of my all time favroite vampire series. I like the adventure thats diffrent from Dora the Explorer. It's more like a thrill adventure also with action and romace. I also could not put the book down or the rest of the series. I recommend this book and the rest of the series to anyone who likes all of what i have just typed. If you have tried to read this series and only got through some of the first one, reread it all the way through and then read the second. Then you can judge it youself.
St. Vladimirs Academy isnt just any boarding schoolits a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. Theyve been on the run, but now theyre being dragged back to St. Vladimirsthe very place where theyre most in danger. . . . Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academys ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoithe worlds fiercest and most dangerous vampiresmake Lissa one of them forever.

This book series is one of the best YA vampire book series I have read. The plot flows and the action keeps the reader hooked. There is also romance that adds to the story but doesn't take over. The relationship between Rose and Dimitri is believable and grows through out the books. Rose is a strong lead character and is well rounded.
Good book overall. I like how even though it is a vampire book, its more about the two main characters than about the vampire part itself. I'm reading the 2nd book now. I really wish she would have gotten to be involved with Dimitri, but hey, its the writers story. Anyways, its a good read and worth checking out.
This book in a series of 6 in december and it could kill Twilight. I'm sorry but the aditude and development of the characters in this book are amazing. Rose Hathaway, Dimitri Belovic and Lissa Dragomir are a firce team that could be very well unstoppable.

L: Honestly, when I read the synopsis of this book, I thought, Whatever. But I decided to give it a try. After all, my best friend was singing its praises and shes never done that before, except for Harry Potter. So I was like, Why not?
Vampire Academy was amazing. At first, I thought it was a superficial story vampire and half-vampire teens living at a boarding school, seriously? but before I knew it, I become more and more wrapped up in the mysteries of the book. What was happening to Lissa? Who was causing it?
And of course, if youve ever heard of VA at all, youve definitely heard of the romance between Rose and her mentor, Dimitri &
I adored Roses witty lines, Lissas caring nature, Dimitris wise remarks, and Christians sarcastic comments. I loved the chemistry and romance between the amazing couples in this book. I loved the mystery, the danger, the adventure, the fighting. It reeled me in.
I loved this book. Seriously.

Really liked the way this book was written. Every main character (and a few side characters, too) had a huge influence in the story line of the book. Really thought the lore and the customs of the vampires in this book were well thought out and original which just deepens the story line. Overall the best book about vampires I've read so far (and I've read A TON of vampire books.) Totally recommend it to anyone who enjoys the young-adult fiction genre and the paranormal-romance genre.
This book has MANY good points, but the most obvious one is that this book isn't like all the other cheesy vampire books. Right from the beginning you know this isn't some stupid vampire book rip-off.
