This is an amazing book with non-stop action. It is full of suspense and thrills. Alex Rider is a 14 year old whose Uncle is killed in a car accident but Alex investigates and finds that things don't add up.
He finds out that his uncle was a secret agent in MI6 and was murdered. Alex is then blackmailed into finishing what his uncle was investigating. Alex uses his talents and brains to try stay alive saving Britian from a deadly virus in the process.
I am in love with Alex Rider! You have to read all of the books in this series because I guarantee you that you will love this book--and Alex--to death!!
When Alex's dad suddenly dies, Alex is forced to believe that it was not a result of a car crash, but something more. So he goes to the car dump and finds his uncle's car. To his amazement he finds bullet holes on the windshield of the car...His uncle was not a person who worked at a bank...he was a spy. Now Alex goes to try and finish the task that his uncle was working on...Stormbreaker....
You can't put this book down! If you want adventure, this book is for you!!!
I'd like to start off by saying that this review is from the point of view of a 13 year old girl. You probably won't be interesting in my thoughts if you're older than me.
This book really appealled to me. I love books on espionage and the army so if you're on the same wavelength then you'll also love the style and quality of writing in it.
To sum it up before I get carried away and can't stop writing, Stormbreaker was a freakishly enjoyable book to read. I couldn't put it down! I'm yet to read the rest of the series, but if the rest of his books are as good as Stormbreaker and the first of the Diamond Brother's series of books, then they too will be fantastic achievements on Anthony's behalf.
You simply must read this book as I am sure that alot of hard work has gone into it, you'll be able to tell by the original ideas and the frequent intense passages.
A wonderful, well thought out book. I give it 5 stars, no doubt.
The beginning of a super cool series about teen spy Alex Rider. I reall thought this series, like Artemis Fowl would ened on the third book, but it didn't. There's a fourth one, but it sits in my bookshelf waiting to see if I'll take it out and finish it or not. The series is not boring, at all, I'm just lazy. Stormbreaker was awesome, although being completely orphaned is not something any teen spy wants.
At first, I thought this was going to be a great book. A kid thats spy? Thats awesome! Well, it wasn't. It was just OK, pretty boring. I recommend it only for people that love the Alex Rider Adventure Series.
