In New Moon, our star-crossed lovers, Bella Swan and Edward Cullen... break up? Yes, that is what I said.
Edward is terrified of the possibility of possibly hurting Bella in the future, and tells Bella that they can no longer be together. He then leaves without telling her where he is going. Bella is so devastated that she sinks into a deep state of depression. Her sadness and broken heart seriously made me wish I could jump through the pages, find Edward, and make him come back.
So, what does a girl with a strange attraction to danger do when her vampire boyfriend breaks her heart? She befriends Jacob Black, Indian Werewolf, who helps her find reasons to smile again all while falling in love with her himself. She also finds a reason (I won't say what it is) to do scary and dangerous things on purpose leading to even more of those famous Bella trip-ups.
In the end of the book, our lovers reconnect and discover that even though they were apart, they never stopped thinking about each other. This shows Edward that it will be impossible for him to stay away from Bella and vows to stay by her side.
I thought this was a great sequel to Twilight. It really stirred up my emotions through its first-person point of view making me feel what Bella was feeling. I was so betrayed when Edward left and thrilled when he returned. However, unlike Bella, I was secretly rooting for Jacob to win her heart throughout the book. Poor guy.
New Moon is a lot about Bella whining about missing Edward who leaves 'for her own good.' If someone hadn't told me to hang in there because the ending was good I might not have finished it. I know Stephanie Meyer had to build the Jacob/Bella relationship and those parts were good but the whining got annoying after about300 pages! Anyway, on a whole this series is great and this book lays the groundwork for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Can't wait to see the movie and how that is approached.
After Edward and his family leave Forks Bella find comfort in Jacob Black and the two become fast friends. the relationship that developes between Bella and Jacob is a connection of kindred souls. Jacob brings Bella back from the living dead and just as she is about to decide to move on and take a chance with Jacob Alice comes back and soon Edward is in trouble. Alice and Bella must race to italy to save the man Bella still loves, while leaving a hearbroken Jacob behind. In Italy the only way they are all allowed to leave alive is with a promise that Edward will soon turn Bella into a vampire as well.
This is a great book. It would be so hard to be Bella and have to choose between two wonderful men. Not that many of us have that problem.
New moon is the second book to the Twilight series. What I didn't like about this book is that Edward thought that him being around Bella was dangerous which is probably true.So he leaves this pretty much breaks Bellas heart, she sort of ends up becoming suicidal. Everytime she does something dangerous that can really get her hurt she hears Edwards voice, it seems like shes willing to risk her life to hear his voice. This irritated me because she shouldn't risk her life for some beautiful vampire. In the end he realizes that hes good for Bella and that he can keep her safe. I like how Edward can turn invisible thats pretty cool.
New moon, the sequel of the best selling book, Twilight still captures readers attention, but it could have been better. The lack of Edward Cullen in the book, both saddened and bored many readers. Bella has finally thought that everything is great with Edward and his family, but what she doesnt expect, happens. To protect Bella from danger, Edward Cullen and his family move away. Bella, shocked by his decision of leaving her, drowns in depression. Her friends act as if she is a zombie and months pass with her condition. Slowly though, Jacob Black starts to show Bella the great things in life. However, Bella makes a huge mistake that sets both Edward and herself in danger. This book is a crucial part of the series but readers often skip out many of the parts due to "boredom" of Jacob. I thought that this book still had the chemistry between Edward and Bella even though they werent together. I still kept my hopes high of them reuniting sooner or later. Overall, this book was not the best book of the Twilight series but I give it a 3.5/5.
Twilight continued! (spoilers if you haven't read it yet)

New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, is the continuation to the unlikely insanely-in-love Bella Swan, human, and Edward Cullen, vampire. After Bella nearly got killed by the tracker James, Edward wishes he could prevent any danger that he feels he's causing her. When his brother Jasper snaps at a party when Bella gets a paper cut, Edward decides to let go.
Bella is heartbroken and depressed, but she fines some happiness in life from her friend from the past, Jacob Black. Trying to forget about her vampire beau, she concentrates on Jacob and finds a best friend in him. While it's obvious he's thinking a little more than friendship, he stays at the friend level. Bella thinks she has finally found hope, Jacob suddenly distances himself from her.
Going close back to what she was going through before, it takes a while for Bella to think back to the dream she had before she knew Edward was a vampire, where Jacob suddenly transformed into a wolf... It turns out that her best friend isn't even human either, but a werewolf!
If you want to find out what happens to Bella as she lives within a fantasy world, fragile and endangered no matter what, and what she's willing to risk for them. This book is recommended to everyone, even adults. It's an absolutely amazing series.
New Moon is the sequel to Twilight. In this book, Edward leaves Bella. Bella becomes extremely depressed, and befriends Jacob, just so she could use him to hear Edward's voice in her mind. jacob, however. is in love with her. Meanwhile, Edward somehow misunderstands and believes that Bella is dead. He procedes to attempt suicide.Â
Obviously, this is a book about an extremely unhealthy relationship with two very unstabe people, correct? Nope. This book is percieved as the epitome of romance. You probably can tell my opinion on this.Â
However, the series has a very addictive effect. This is my second read of the series, and I was as omgzzzzztwilightx3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3edward the first time. I'd recommend that everyone who's read the series reread it, with a clearer mind.Â
the book is wonder full i just love it but its not as great as the others i used 2 love both edward and jacob but not after he was a jerk and rude. the others are better but the was still a wonderful book and i just love it and i think this auothor is just genius u must read twilght it is the best book and the books are very obbsessive if i were u and i was already reading another book i would finish it before reading the twilght saga because you prob will never finish the other book and forget all about it ! i suggest this book since i cant make u so plz read it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New Moon is the much-anticipated second book in the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. This book, unlike Twilight, focuses more on Jacob and his issue of being a werewolf. This book can bring about a great range of emotions - from hatred to anger to empathy. This a great book to show different perspectives of the same situation and I would recommend it for teens.
Haven't read the Edward/Bella romance series yet? You're missing out! hahah. If Vampire-y things are really the kind of thing your into. This series doesn't go too much into that. Its truly about the romance. New Moon was probably my least favorite out of the series. Edward leaves for an extended time. :/ Talk about break my heart! The majority of this book deals with Bella longing for Edward to come back. I consider this book mainly a filler in the series. However, this book is probably the TEAM JACOB'S favorite. xD
