This book is a wonderful book about an unusual subject. Although at the beginning I'll admit I though it was odd for Anna to not willingly give up her kidney for her sister. The story begin to unravel and this is definitely a tearjerker that will make you cry more than once. It is very long but that makes it more rewarding and interesting to read.

The character development is wonderful and there are numerous subplots throughout the story all of which are very engrossing. There is also some humor so it's a great read for anyone really. The ending was a bit disappointing for me but even that won't ruin the book which I think is one that you must definitely own.

If you were to read any book in the world I would recommend My Sister’s Keeper. I have just finished reading this book and its amazing. You know when you have just finished reading a book and you go wow if you really liked it. Well this is one of those. If I could put into words what I felt while reading this book I would, but seeing as I can’t all I can do is tell you about it and hope when you read it you’ll know what I mean. Thirteen-year-old Anna has spent most of her life undergoing countless surgeries, transfusion shots, and it’s all for her sister Kate. You see Anna sister has leukemia APL to be exact. Kate has had cancer since childhood; as a result Anna was conceived as a product of preimplantation. So that she could be a bone marrow match for Kate. Anna loves her sister but enough is enough.

This is one of those books, one of those amazing books that leaves you stunned hours, days, and perhaps weeks after youve finished it. The plot is incredibly gripping; by the time you get to the middle you think you know absolutely where its all headed and all that you need are those last few answers to confirm your growing suspicions. However, you soon find that all you thought you knew, you didn't. Things take a turn and suddenly what didn't make sense does and what you saw one way you now see another.

The ending is amazing, though heartbreakingly sad. At the very least your eyes will water. The characters are fascinating and are written in such a way that they pop off the page and come to life. They have pasts and their own little quirks. One of the best books that I have read in some time, go read it, its worth your time. Trust me!

My Sister's Keeper is a story told from many different views, about Anna, who was created to be a perfect genetic donor for her sister Kate, who has a rare form of leukemia. Kate, who has recently relapsed, is in desperate need of a kidney. As usual, their parents turn to Anna for a donation. Unwilling to donate a kidney, Anna sues for medical emancipation from her parents. Most of the book focuses on the trial, the people involved in the trial, and how Anna's family is nearly torn apart from the tension. The ending has a twist which no one could have expected, which will leave you heartbroken and wanting more.
