Ida B. is about a ten year old girl whose life is absolutely perfect, until one day, when her world comes crashing down. Her mother is diagnosed with breast cancer and she has to go through several treatments. Ida B.'s family has to sell part of their apple orchard,in order to pay the medical expenses.
Later,Ida's parents decide that they should send her to a public school, for Ida had up to then been home-schooled. By this time, trees are cut down and Ida soon feels rebellious. It was kind of sad that Ida changed from being a good-natured kid to a goth girl. Even sadder still, is that Ida B. plots revenge. Will Ida B.'s life ever improve?
This book touched me in many ways. At some parts,I even grew close to crying. I have learned an important lesson: revenge is never the right thing to do,no matter how angry you are. You would feel even worse than you did before and so would people around you. Revenge only brings suffering and consequences.
