Being a drummer myself, I was really looking forward to reading this book. Road Rash does not disappoint. Loved the band on the road story, and loved the musical references that are woven in almost flawlessly.

Mark Huntley Parsons creates characters you can cheer for- especially Zach. The character portrayals are realistic and readers get a glimpse on how musicians build their craft and prepare for their life on the stage. It is very clear that the author has first-hand experience as a professional drummer and musician.
While touring through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and Canada Zach learns the ins and outs of life as a musician, professionalism, and the kind of dedication it takes to be a musician on the road.

Road Rash is a great story about following your dreams and the bumps in the road that get you there. Teens and Tweens, musicians and non-musician a like will enjoy this book.
