Ever After, which is a novelization from the much loved movie Ever After, is about a young servent girl whose mother died when she was very young and whose father died soon after his remarriage to a cruel and selfish baronness.
After the book shows the early events of Danielle's life and her father's death it moves along to Danielle's life as a servent for her own step-mother. When one of her fellow servents is sold by the wicked Baroness Rodmilla Daineille doe what she can to bring Maurice back. After recieving a large payment of coins she goes to rebuy Maurice, dressed as a noble.
There she meets the prince again and hopes that he does not recognize her. Luckily he does not yet Danielle is forced to lie and give him a false name.
During the book Danielle and the prince meet at various times in the book in this twist off Cinderella. All fans of Ever After the movie will enjoy reading the book interpretation as well as any romance and Cinderella fans.
