The protagonist of the story is Louis he is a round character and a Dynamic character. Lois is the head of his household and he just got a job in Maine as a doctor in a Collage Campus. He is round because a lot of the choices and his feelings are more human, for example he has to deal with telling his 9 year old daughter about death and how he takes the death of his son 2 year old son. He chooses to bury his son in the pet semetary even though he knows he will change in some way. He changes at the end because he goes crazy after he buries his son in the cemetery and his son comes back evil and kills Judd, his wife Rachel and tries to kill him,he then kills his son and buries his wife and she comes back from the dead and comes home with him and then the book ends. Which I thought was weird. The plot is very slow it takes a really long time to get to the Climax. Over all I thought the plot was ok I just thought that it took to long and i did not care for the ending. I think the theme is that you must deal with the consequences of your choices. I think the author sends the message very well with having all these horrible events happening to the main character, but the main character does not learn the lesson. The setting has a extreme influence on the characters because the book tells about the pet semetary being this creepy, magical place that has the power to control you or draw you to it. I think the setting was pretty interesting it made you wonder why this was this happening and it was not hard to figure out where they were at or what is happening. I thought the point of view was really weird because it is all 1st person but at the beginning of the story it was all from Louis Creeds mind but then once the main problem happens, the point of view jumps around in each chapter from Louis to Rachel to Judd, until Rachel and Judd are killed. It confused me and I did not really like it when it jumped around. I thought the book was ok, I dont think you should read it if you dont like to read long books that take a while to have a main problem also the book is really descriptive so if you dont like a lot of information it is not the book for you. I dont really know if it was worth it because the main theme is important but it was just really long and I didnt like reading that long,it was interesting though.
