Steven King has outdone himself with the fantastic suspensful and horrific story Misery. Misery is about an author named Paul Sheldon he is the fictional author of the Misery series. He has finished his last story and leaves back home when he gets in a horrific car accident. He is thankfully rescued by the mysterious women named Annie Wilkes she is the biggest fan of the Misery series. Although when Paul is being hospitalized by Annie he is also being held prisoner. She forces him to continue writing the Misery stories if he doesn't do what she says or forces him to do. She goes crazy and tortures him. As i was reading this book it seemed so realistic that it might happen to anyone. In this book you can visualize the presence of Annie Wilkes creeping around Paul and the crazy things she does to him. As i was reading this book I could never put it down the suspense in the book is so thrilling that it forces you to read on and in some parts of the story you feel as Annie Wilkes is watching you, and you know that no one is there. This book is truely horrific it gives you chills as you read and you may even get grossed out with some of the tortures Annie puts Paul through. Even the wording Annie uses is almost scary she never swears she just creates words that seem to be mean but no one really understands them. Steven King uses his fantastic writing skills to put the reader in the situation of the helpless writer being held captive by the insane Annie Wilkes. This story is truely one of Steven Kings best works he makes it so horrific that it can give you nightmares. If you actually like reading horror/ suspensful stories i advise you to read this book. It will change the way you thing, view, and believe crazed fans are in the world.
