Ellie idolized her older sister Nina, and was crushed when Nina disappeared without a trace. Two years later, a drawing that leads to information about where Nina might have gone miraculously falls out of a book and into Ellies hands.
One clue conveniently leads to another, and eventually to a boy named Sean, whom Ellie meets at a party. Sean agrees to help Ellie track down her sister and together they set off on a cross-country search.
There is a thriller/suspense aspect to this story that will appeal to those who enjoy the genre. Its easy for the reader to connect with the relationship between Ellie and Nina, and to sympathize with Ellies desperation to discover the truth.
While Ellie doesnt make the most responsible choices, the ride is entertaining, involving twists and turns along the road to a satisfying conclusion.
