Sweet Valley High: Double Love
by Francine Pascal
Elizabeth Wakefield is a blameless, innocent highschooler living in Sweet Valley, California. She runs the school blog, reports for the school newspaper, and also has a crush on the captain of the basketball team. And whats more, he might like her back.
Her plans on getting Todd to ask her to the school dance are delayed when her twin sister (popular, "thrilling"), jessica, interfers.
Jessica Wakefield has always gotten whatever she wants... and now whatever Elizabeth wants too: Todd.
Mr. Wakefield is a lawyer and spends his days and nights with his "lovely" assistant, Marianna West. A little TOO much time, Elizabeth and Jessica think. Could he possibly be cheating on their innocent mother?
In the end, Elizabeth and Jessica find out that Mr. Wakefield did not have an affair with Marianna, Elizabeth gets the guy and avenges Jessica. I could have done with out the last chapter but some people like to read the "final revenge".
In my opinion, this book was poorly written, average, and ordinary. It is a typical book about two L.A. teens who have to go through with being sixteen. And when you live by Los Angeles, drugs, beer, driving, and boyfriends come with it.
I am not saying that it is not worth reading, because if it was published it was worth reading in someone's eys. Just not mine.
