It's Christie's first anime convention and she is excited to be there trying to get people interested in the comic she writes. Unfortunately, she's there with her jerky boyfriend, Derek, who is also the artist for her comic. After watching him flirt with one too many convention-goers, Christie leaves her table and runs into a sexy stranger named Matt. She and Matt hit it off, but he's a couple of years older than her and lives on the other side of the country. Plus, what is she going to do about Derek?
Dramacon is a very cute, well-written relationship story. There are a couple of darker plot lines running beneath the major one which promise to keep things interesting in future volumes. I was not a huge fan of the art, but that is more personal taste than anything and it did not detract from my enjoyment of the story. I'll definitely be reading volume 2!
