Eclipse is the third book in the twilight saga. I thought that the books get more boring and not as good as the story progresses. I think the author was just dragging out the story a bit to much, a whole lot of this book was just waffling along. I got bored and I put it down halfway through as I had was piled on with assignments for school and just didn't have the time for such a big book that didn't really have my attention.

The idea of the newbie vampires was really smart and it made the book a slight bit more exciting than the last one, New Moon. The plot was dragged out quite a bit but it had its good times. I recommend it to the lovers of the last two twilight books but not to people who didn't enjoy as much

Like I said, Eclipse is easily my favorite, but I found that I didn’t enjoy it as much the second time around. This time the annoying things stuck out more and hindered my enjoyment of it, but it was still a great read. There’s a lot going on in Eclipse, and it has all of the features that the previous books were missing.

There’s finally a sense of urgency with the plot. What appears to be a serial killer on the loose in Seattle, ends up being something much, much more, threatening both Bella and the Cullens. Instead of just sitting around, Bella is actually scared and tries to help, despite being just a lowly human with no special powers or skills.

Also, we finally get out of the tiny Bedward bubble and learn more about other members of the Cullen family and the Quiluete tribe. This was probably my favorite part about Eclipse, even though it added a lot of pages of info-dumping. At least it was interesting dumpage, particularly Rosalie’s chapter. She’s not just a beautiful bitch. There’s much more to her, and the situation surrounding her transformation definitely explains her tough exterior.

The thing that made me drop a star, was all of the manipulation going on disguised as love! Edward and Jacob both admit to manipulating Bella’s feelings, and Bella knowingly manipulates them both, and of course Edward and Jacob manipulate each other for the sake of Bella’s love! And Bella manipulates Charlie, which is just inexcusable and unforgivable since I adore Charlie! It was all a big mess and bothered the heck out of me. Can’t anybody just say how they’re really feeling and accept everyone else’s feelings, instead of trying to take advantage? Apparently not.

Eclipse, at first I was thinking of the name of the book, and trying to guess why Stephenie Meyer ever thought of naming it that way. Before I read the book, I began to form a hypothesis, and thought well maybe because (as I read in the summary) when an eclipse is formed in real life, the moon covers up the sun, and I thought that might have been Jacob Black trying to cover up Edward so he can be noticed to Bella, or something related to that jealousy between Edward, and Jacob. Lets get on to the book. I can't say it was the best one of all the three, because I honestly thought it would be better, because of all the enthusiasim and happiness that was roaming around me while I was waiting, dreadfully and hoping it would come out as soon as possible. When I got the book and it finally reached my hands, I didn't feel the happiness I once had for Twilight, or Newmoon. The story was a little boring, and too much, is too little. Like she wrote way too much descriptions that got me frustrated and began to skip through pages, which I regret. I mean there should be more action, not just that one scene where Victoria comes, and stuff. If this is fantasy then there should be even more fantacy, and stuff. I also didn't like all that love and physical emotions, I mean in Twilight it had so much suspense that I could take and I wanted more! Here, just oh he kissed her, and stuff. I actually really thought it would be better, and I HOPE the last book Breaking Dawn is way better! The plot is simple, a couple of vampires invade Forks, and are killing people. Bella and Edward try to find them, and by scent they find out it's Victoria. The story goes on between the jealousy between Edward and Jacob. My favorite part was when Jacob was sleeping next to Bella as Edward watched raging with jealousy, it was hilarious! I loved some scenes, and it was okay, I probably would rank it a three and a half out of five. Thanks Stephenie Meyer! I love your books, and all you readers should read it!

"Eclipse" is the 3rd book from the "Twilight" Saga.  In this book Edward and Bella are filling out school aplications, when Edward finds out that Bella wants to see Jacob.  In Seattle here are several mysterious killings.  Bella finds herself surrounded by danger once again.  Bella is also forced to choose between the love for Edward and the friendship toward Jacob.  With her graduation approaching fairly quickly, Bella has a decision between life or death to make up.  But which is which?  For the answer your going to have to read the book.

I liked this book.  I enjoyed how the author kept you in suspense.  I also like how the author gives some hints, so you can try to figure things out.  I like how the author lets you ask questions like, "Is Bella in love with Jacob", or "What happens with Bella and Jacob".  I like how she based a book on Bella and Jacob and not just Bella and Edward.

What I like about Eclipse is you find out that Jacob is a werewolf also called a shape shifter. I think it's sad that Jacob really likes Bella but Bella doesn't feel the same way. She likes Jacob but as a friend not a boy friend. Edward is sweet the way he talks to Bella you can tell that he really does love her, even though to me it seems like Bella can be a bit of a pain from time to time. This book is a very romantic love story. Edward is pretty much willing to give Bella what ever she wants. It bothers me that Bella always gets her way sometimes shes kind of whiny. My favorite character is Alice because she just seems like a nice girl. Overall to me the first book is still the best. This book is okay.

Twilight (#3): Eclipse

I rated this : 3/5

Since Edward was in this book a lot, I really approved of it, but then I started thinking New Moon was better. I was basically bored. I hope the upcoming books aren't as boring. Basically, it's Edward Cullen and Jacob Black (who Bella befriended while Edward was away in New Moon), fight over Bella. Jacob is... Edward's natural enemy. Also, let's not forget. There's also the fact that Victoria (James's mate) is seeking revenge on Bella because of Edward killing James. "Mate for mate," she said.

I hope the Twilight series don't continue on like this. It's gradually slowing down, getting slower. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who've read Twilight; it's sort of disappointin, but if you want to finish the whole series, I guess this is an essential part to her life when Edward stepped into it.

The vampire love saga continues in Stephanie Meyers third novel, Eclipse. As we are drawn back to forks we see Bella as the time for her transformation nearer. In this book she starts to realize the disadvantages of becoming a vampire. Not only will she loose her family and her humanity but also her best friend.

After being a HUGE fan of the two previouse books this one was an interesting case. Never have I so ferociously devoured a book I detested so much. I was so entranced that I read this book in less then a day yet hated every minute of it. To begin with, I prefer novels with more substance then included in the average romance novel. I couldnt help but reword almost every sentence to make it sound more sophisticated and I gagged during at least three quarters of the romance scenes. The hardest part was Bella. . She was the most tedious and bland character I have ever read about with almost no good personality traits. Bella is hypocritical, fickle, and quite self centered not to mention backstabbing. I would hope that a book so beloved by a multitude of girls everywhere would try to display a noble, strong heroic young woman instead of a wishy washy little girl whos only existence relies on two boys. Although Stephanie Meyer is, in my opinion, an amateur author compared to my favorites she has mastered the secret of keeping readers spellbound. I would recommend this book to anyone who was brainwashed by Martians or needs light reading while recovering from a coma.

My least favorite book in this series. Everything about it makes me turn my face in disgust. Bella's indecisiveness, her teenage hormones, Edward's willingness and Jacob's harassment. The action scene was ill planned and haphazardly thought up and the love triangle just lost many fans.

As the third novel in the twilight series, I found this one hard to enjoy. Bella and Edward discuss college, she still wants to be like him, Jacob began to annoy me with his childish nature, and I wanted Bella to just tell him "I Love EDWARD" so he would just leave her alone. I hated this love triangle. Just pick one already, and lets move on.

After all that, we focus on the Seattle killings. Edward gets a bit over-protective, but I can get past that.

All in all, I disliked how Meyer created weak women characters. Bella can't live without Edward, Rosalie is shallow, Leah is weak. This story is so off, it was difficult to enjoy.
