Eclipse is the third installment in the Twilight Saga.  Ms. Meyer, again, works her magic of telling a good story.  Bella and Edward's story is continued, only this time, Jacob plays an even more important role.  What is this role?  You'll have to read it!  Eclipse is more along the lines of Twilight, where as, I felt New Moon took us on a bit of a different journey for Bella.  The writing style remains consistent for Ms. Meyer and the story continues with its same magic and deep love story.  If you've read the first two, you HAVE to read this one!!

It's just a few weeks before high school graduation, and although most girls Bella Swan's age would be focused on what to wear to the big dance or how to pass Calculus, Bella has a few more important things on her mind. Now that she's been reunited with her vampire boyfriend Edward, Bella must decide whether --- and when --- to join him and his coven, to forsake her mortality (and her friends and family) to live, like Edward, forever.

Bella has grown up a lot since readers first met her in Stephenie Meyer's first novel, TWILIGHT. Back then she was naive, impetuous and easily swayed by Edward's dazzlingly good looks and effortlessly romantic charms. Now, though, in the third book in this series, Bella is finally thinking a little about the implications of her decision to become a vampire and even standing up to Edward's dominating, overprotective tendencies.

Edward is an old-fashioned guy. He won't turn Bella into a vampire unless she marries him first, and the idea of telling him she's getting married at 18 is more terrifying than admitting to her future transformation. Bella would also have to move far away from her beloved father during their dangerous "newborn" vampire period, when she would be unable to control her bloodthirsty urges. And then there's Jake, the werewolf who finally pledges his love to Bella. Is she really ready to leave him behind?

Bella does feel some urgency for this decision, though. She has made some enemies who would be more than happy to harm her while they still can. What's more, there's a newborn vampire on the loose in Seattle, terrorizing humans and threatening either the Cullen family or Bella herself. Clearly, time is running out while Bella hesitates.

Readers who devoured TWILIGHT and NEW MOON will ingest ECLIPSE just as hungrily. Diehard fans may grow weary at the amount of exposition near the novel's beginning, although they may be intrigued to learn more of the vampires' and werewolves' backstories. Since Meyer's books have always been more of a love story than a vampire series, however, many readers will appreciate ECLIPSE's more firm grounding in reality, largely focusing on character realization rather than on melodramatic, metaphysical conflicts.

The further development of the Jake-Bella-Edward love triangle, in particular, will almost certainly appeal to romance fans, and will divide readers according to whom --- the coldly beautiful Edward or the hot-headed Jake --- they think Bella should choose. One thing fans will agree on, though: Bella's fate is far from over, which means readers eventually will be able to savor even more of her story.

In Eclipse, Bella Swan is faced with a multitude of decisions.

She and Edward Cullen are faced (as usual) with the truth that they can not be together as a vampire and her as a human.  Bella longs to be turned into a vampire, and it is inevitable that she will become one, but Edward keeps trying to stall her decision so that she can enjoy the human experience.

Just because Edward came back in New Moon does not mean that Jacob Black disappeared or that he is giving up the fight for Bella's heart.  Jacob continues to try to woo Bella and also be her friend, while Bella tries to force Edward and Jacob, vampire and werewolf, to coincide as friends.

This would be an impossible feat, but Bella's unavoidable magnetism to danger could cause them to join against a common enemy.  Humans keep getting murdered in Seattle, and the police are stumped.  Only the vampires and the werewolves know what is behind these deaths - more vampires.  They also know that something or someone is after Bella again causing them to put their differences aside to protect their mutual love.

This was another great book from the Twilight series.  Bella swan is in a mixed-up supernatural love triangle and her life is once again in danger.  I could not put this book down.

After reading Twilight and New Moon, I decided to read Eclipse as well. I mean, why not? I was so thrilled once I started reading the book. Edward proposes to Bella...and Jacob starts getting jealous...Let's just say-If you loved the first two, you'll love the third, as well.

Wow.

This book is gooood. It's so good that it's another one that I read in one day. What do we have, well, a love triangle, killer vamps on the loose, and one girl dying to be one of them.

Jacob's fighting for Bella's love and attention, that he can't steal away from Edward. Bella's trying to get Edward to change her. And, Edward is busy watching after Bella and trying to figure out who's after her.

What a mess? This is another one that Stephenie wrote that will keep you on edge and wanting more. Just one thing, though, you WILL be NEEDING the next book, that's not going to be released Aug. 2nd. HURRY UP! =)

Edwards back and all is well. Except now Bella has connections with Jake and they're fighting over her. Who will she choose life or death? With Edward being passive  and showing her what she will become with new borns killing people in the news and Jake being aggresive and taunting her with his friendship all the time. All the while Victoria is back and she is looking for revenge but how exactly will she get it?
This a wonderful book. Just like the whole series and all its followers speaks for itself. A must read to add to your bookself.

Of its type, though, this is very well done. Author Stephenie Meyer has a writing style that can keep the reader turning the pages even when there is nothing much happening (which is most of the time), and there is a lot more suspense in this entry than in last two, as well as a pretty entertaining climactic battle (though much of it happens offstage).
