The story begins with the revelation that Seattle is being plagued by a string of unsolved murders, which Edward suspects are being caused by a newborn vampire that is unable to control its thirst. Edward and Bella fill out college applications, while Bella explains to Edward her desire to see Jacob, her werewolf friend, again. Meanwhile, Alice Cullen has a vision that Victoria, a vampire who is hunting Bella, is back in town. Although Edward fears for her safety, Bella insists that Jacob and the rest of the werewolf pack would never harm her, and he eventually allows her to visit Jacob once in a while. A few days later Edward proposes to Bella and, despite having an aversion to marriage, she accepts. Bella and the Cullens realize that the murders in Seattle are being committed by an "army" of newborn vampires, controlled by Victoria. The Cullen family joins forces with the werewolf pack in order to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward and Bella camp up in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Jacob and Seth Clearwater, a young member of the werewolf pack, to wait out the fight. In the morning, Jacob overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and becomes very upset. He threatens to join the fight and get himself killed because Bella doesn't love him. To stop him, Bella kisses Jacob and realizes that she loves him, too. Victoria tracks Edward's scent to Bella and Edward is forced to fight, despite Bella's wishes to keep him safely with her. After Victoria and her army are successfully destroyed, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, her love for Edward is greater and she cannot live without him. After receiving a wedding invitation from a humble Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to escape the pain he feels, angry at Bella's decision to become a vampire. This book is horrible. Bella basically dumps Jacob and treats him like trash. She accepts the controlling, abusive Edward Cullen back in to her life. This book shows how Bella can't live without a man in her life and shows the characteristics of an abusive boyfriend. I didn't like this book or the whole series at all.

This one is action packed. I really enjoyed it, much better than New Moon. More in depth with the characters and it brings everyone together in a way. Wonderfully written, and again a seamless story line from start to finish. I love this series.

Overall, Eclipse is a good book. Its a little bit slow in the beginning, but it gets a lot better. It leaves you wondering what will happen next, which makes it very difficult to put it down. I would recommend it to pretty much anybody who either likes a love story, or a good fantasy novel. The only thing I absolutely dont like about it is the fact that vampires sparkle in the Twilight series, but I can live with that.

The 3rd book in the Twilight series, this book continues the story of Bella and her vampire soul mate. The story deals with whether and when Bella will get turned into a vampire and whether she can stay friends with Jacob, a warewolf/enemy of vampires.

Twilight deals with finding true love, New Moon deals with losing true love and Eclipse deals with CHOOSING true love.

this has to be my favorite of the three. I was so excited to have bella and edward together again. I was happy most about bella and how she tried to save edward. it was so antispating and intense. I have never been more exicted about a book.

my absolute favorite part is that edward asked bella to marry him. I was psyched. i was so crazy happy about that and i'm so glad bella accepted. Sorry jacob but you just can't take first loves apart. ever. jacob, i'm sure you will find your true love as well. I'm actually realy sure because you still haven't imprinted and when you do, I would loved to hear all about it.

Surrounding Bella's major conflict, of who she truly loves, "Eclipse" is the strongest and most relatable book in the series. Bella Swan but finally make up her mind between her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen, the forbidden fruit, or her werewolf best-friend-want-to-be-lovers Jacob Black, the one who is always there. Her thoughts are jumbled and completely disorganized throughout this book, which causes other teenage readers to relate to those feelings of confusion and frustration.

But the book comes to a rising point as it becomes obvious there is another vampire around, which can only mean one thing to Bella: Victoria is back to take her revenge against Edward for killing her mate James. As the book twists and turns, Bella finds herself in the middle of two battles, the battle for her heart, and the battle to the death.

Wonderfully written and a pleasure to read, "Eclipse" is another one of the Twilight Saga books that will keep the reader laughing throughout.

Starts out  as Bell learns the second biggrest secret of her life. not only is Edward her love of her life a vampire but Jacob the second love of her life is a werewolf but in the troditional since of the word. Not only does bell have to handel the male hormone raging between the two she. Has to learn to deal with out JAcob beacuse he is heart broke when Bella Marries Edward . the whoile time you just know Jacob is coming back and at the end he does bescue shock of Shock is pregnat by Edward still being human they are not sure what to do when oithe pregnancy seems to be killing Bella.I love this series and hope Stephinie writes more about these charcters.

But, there's still danger for Bella when an army of newborn Vampires are out to get her. While the time she has as a human is getting closer and closer. Edward and her talk seriously about marriage. The best book yet in the series. More romance, more danger and more vampires! I loved it because Bella and Edward were more in love and marriage and when Bella gets bitten to turn into a vampire are all closer and talked about more. I CAN'T wait until the 4th book comes out. I never knew I could be so passionate about a book. I even found it to be better than my most loved series, Harry Potter. I easily finished it in one day because it was soooooo good and page-turning. I normally don't like books about vampires but this is a different and unique type of writing with a lot of romance tied in with fantasy and horror.
