This is definitely a good book to read around the holidays and I liked that it teaches a valuable lesson about how different cultures celebrate different holidays and that it's okay. Sure, Christmas is fun and all, but there's amazement and wonder to be found in all types of holidays and they should all be appreciated.

With that said, I liked how determined Rachel was to get Santa to come to her house. It was very cute.

I didn't particularly like the illustrations though. Personally, they weren't as eye-catching as I like my children's books to be. It has more of a classical feel to it, and I guess that's probably what they were going for, so if you like that, then you'll like the illustrations.
