Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls #2)

I have read so many books in this genre and this series is my absolute favorite ! To me this is the beginning of the series ( while I really like I'd tell you I love you but then i'd have to kill you ,this is when Zach is introduced , I feel like I don't need to explain myself further ). I am not going to write the plot summary because other reviewers have already done so . This book has kept me up until 3 am the first ,second, and third time that I've read it. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Let's talk about Zach first. In case you can't tell, I LOVE Zach! He is hot, cocky, awesome, did I mention he's incredibly hot? Because he is. I love how he knows a lot about Cammie and she knows nothing about him and she's like "How do you know that?" and he just points to himself and says, "Spy." I love it when he does that! We find out later on in the books that Zach is a very important character, but I'll talk more about that in another book review.

Now for Cammie. Cammie is kind of heartbroken over her breakup with Josh in the last book, and it probably didn't help when she saw him in town with his new girlfriend (but that's okay because she has Zach now). At first Cammie doesn't like Zach at all but that changes little by little as the book goes on.

I also love Grant and Jonas. Grant is kind of the love interest for Bex and Jonas is for Liz. The sad part for me is that you never see them again in the books. A part of me wants to see them in book six but most likely we wont.

I love how Joe Solomon always pair Cammie with Zach, it's like he wanted them to get together form the beginning.

I really love the part when Zach and Cammie are one their first date and Zach says' "Just so you know, Gallagher Girl, I'm gonna kiss you now" but DeeDee stops him before he can, then at the end when Zach dips Cammie in front of the whole school then says, "I always finished what I start." then I squeal. A lot. Pretty much love every single part that has Zach. It can't be helped. I love the part where Zach and Cammie are studying and he knows that she and her friends bugged his room and he says he's not all bad and not all good, and the part when Zach first called her Gallagher Girl, and the part when Zach come out of nowhere and Cammie hits her head on a fireplace mantle.

There was a lot of good stuff in this book. Time to re-read it, again

So as the title of my review suggests this installment in the series was better than the first. Everything is better; the characters, the plot and the writing style. This book introduces Zach an amazing literary character that every teenage girl wishes was real. The interaction between the characters Zach and Cammie is amazing. They totally became my OTP.

Great books really do shine!

Another fun Gallagher romp. If you haven't read my review for book #1 (I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You), I suggest taking a peek because much of my praise and criticism holds true.

Much of the new adventure harkens back to events in the first book. The story opens with Cammie and her mother visiting a secret CIA bunker (via a dressing room in the mall) to take a polygraph test to be sure she didn't permanently compromise Gallagher Academy's cover. I have issues with the CIA using polygraph machines, as they're notoriously unreliable, but that's an argument for another time. The test was only a semi-big deal. The REALLY big deal was the fact that Cammie's mother missed the test to attend to... "things."

Big things. Worrisome things that leave Headmistress Morgan visibly troubled. Only Cammie doesn't know what they are. As far as she and her roommates (Liz, Bex, and Macey) can tell, it has something to do with the East Wing, which has been mysteriously locked down. And possibly something to do with the secretive conversations Cammie's mother has been having with Mr. Solomon and the other teachers. And most definitely something to do with a word Cammie overhears - Blackthorne. Or possibly Black Thorn. They're not sure.

The book is filled with adventure and tense moments. Not tense in the apocalyptic, terrorists-are-attacking sense usually attached to spies (except when a Code Black is issued at Gallagher and CAMMIE is blamed!). No, the most tension comes from the girl stuff, such as the return of Josh, the arrival of a new boy who manages to convince Josh that he and Cammie are dating, and the fact that the new boy can beat Cammie at her own game. Whew, tension.

Unlike the first book, I found more conspicuous plot holes in CMHAHTS (please don't make me type out that entire title) and was dissatisfied and somewhat confused by the explanation given at the end for all the spy-business troubles. But, as always, the characters were enjoyable and genuine, and some showed significant growth from the previous book. In the end, I think, I'll live with myself much easier if I simply swallow the bobbles with the gems, because I really, really want to read that third book.

Cross My heart and hope to spy is one of the best books I have read ever the only one that comes close to being as good is I'd tell you I love you but then I'd have To Kill You. Ally carter is the best writer and when I finished I did not want it to end . Cammie an dher friends get suspicious when they hear cammie's mum talking about Black thorne. tCammie and her friends search it on the net abd find out it was a school for Boy spies until it got closed down years ago. Is it possible that It could still be running in secret?

The second book in the Gallagher Girls series, Cammie returns to school after being interrogated by the CIA over spring break about Josh, to try to figure out what mysterious guests they will be having, codename "Blackthorne". This book was a little bit better than its prequel, but not by much. It was a badly structured romance novel first, bad spy novel second. I hesitate to even call it romance, but what else would explain the behavior of Cammie, who, as a veteran spy and "Chameleon" should know better than to be so distracted by boys? Again, another "C+"-grade novel from Ally Carter. Shame. It really has the potential to be better than that.

This is the second book in the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter. It picks back up in the second semester of Cammie Morgan's sophmore year after a break up with her normal boyfriend who though she was a normal girl when in fact she is a spy.

Cammie just wants to come back to school and have everything go back to normal, well as normal as it get in a school for spys. Shes ready for a relaxing end to her school year spent with her three best friends.

Her plans, however, are put to a stop when her school does an exchange with a boys school for spies. After a series of questionalbe events Cammie and her friends must determine if these boys are up to no good. "The stakes for cammies heart- and  her beloved school- are higher than ever"

I really enjoyed this book. it is my favorite of the three in the series so far. we go deeper into the characters and the plot thinkens for Cammie and her friends. You don't need to read the first book in the series to understand this book. It is an excelent book even on its own. I stayed up till sunrise to finish the book and it left me breathless.

Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy is another fantastic book in the Gallagher Girls series! Once again you hear about Cammie and her friends in another captivating story. Only this story has a twist: there's boys involved. And when you're at an all girl academy, adding boys to the mix adds quite a bit to the daily routine of girls and those around them. With these new characters in the books, you find yourself enthralled by them and falling further in love with them as the book goes on.

This is definately a must read! I found myself reading straight through, and the ending left me pining for Book 3 in the series!

When I finished this book I felt: I cant wait for the next one, Dont Judge a Girl by Her Cover! It doesnt come out for a few more months and I am very impatient! I laugh out loud sometimes when Im reading these books&
