Best time travel book

Julie Cross is a genius, that's all! I loved Tempest and Vortex went one step ahead - I want to read it all over again - like right now. Oh and I am desperate for the third book already; it doesn't even have a name right now.

Amazing sci-fi

This book totally deserves a 5 star rating. I am not much into sci-fi and i picked up this book thinking it was a standalone story. I have to say - it totatlly blew me away. After the Pittacus Lore series, I think this is my favourite sci-fi book....

Starting to dislike the protagonist

I really wanted to give this a 4, but the main characters just plain annoyed me in the book. America is being all - who to choose, Aspen or Maxon? Aspen is being stringed along and so are the other Selection girls. Maxon feels it okay to make out with...

A delight to read

The Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa is a visual journey. Kagawa has a flair for constructing a scene so well, you can just imagine yourself there. Even more, none of that is inessential. I see many authors get lost in the details of the surroundings, but Kagawa? Hats...

Must-read

Laini Taylor does it again. Days of Blood and Starlight was beautiful. The characters, the relationships, how the characters react - it's all so real. You can almost imagine yourself in that world. I also love how the perspectives keep changing so we know what's on another character's mind. Simply...

Fun and light read

Going Vintage is a refreshing read. It is narrated by Mallory, who finds out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with an online girlfriend. Assuming modernization to be the cause when she comes across her grandmother’s teenage things, she vows to go vintage till she crosses out the...

Not a fan of Insta-love

I like reading fairytale re-tellings. It's very interesting to find out how an author can take a new spin on an old tale, how some ideas can allude to the legends. In Towering, Rachel is the main protagonist (Rapunzel) while Wyatt is the prince who (is supposed to)...

Unsatisfied with the Ending

If I had to describe this book in two words, they would be 'rich' and 'vivid'. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is literally alive with the lush settings and characters. There are two distinct races - the Seraphim and the Chimaera, the 'angels' and 'demons'. We have Karou, a seemingly...

Goddess

Goddess was the goddess of book finales. It had everything a reader expects one of his/her favorite series to end. There was loads of action, it was fast-paced and things were resolved well. Basically, a nice happy ending. When I started the book, I was a little...

Crushed

The Pretty Little Liars series puts me in a fix - it's been 13 books now, where will the story end? When will the Liars catch a break? But then again, I do love the series. I love Sara Shepard's writing. She knows how to weave suspense into the plot....

Review for The Vision

Is it possible to love the plot but be unsure about the characters? I felt that way with this book. First of all, Cassandra is never assertive enough. She let Lucas push her around in The Mark and the same thing happened in The Vision. The development of the characters...
