Disses, losses, messes and stresses are problems that every teenager has. But every teen has to live up to these challenges and fight their fears. This wonderful book is about real teenagers just like you sharing their personal and real stories to help you! Failing a test or getting dumped is two of the many problems that teenagers experience. Whether its about drugs, alcohol, addictions, obsessions, gangs and even losing a friend or family member, this book has all the solutions.
The Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is an outstanding book with many exciting and interesting stories. All of these stories are so intense that the characters actually come to life before my eyes. Every chapter ended up being more and more interesting and had some kind of suspense that made me want to read on. For example, I eagerly started the poem, One Cut by Taylor Davis, age 12, and obviously, in this poem, the girl couldnt express her own feelings so she decided to cut her self. As the poem unfolds and comes to an end, a lesson appears in a wonderful way.
I truly and strongly recommend this fantastic book for any teen facing any of these problems. Or just read it for fun and entertainment and enjoy these 251 pages of your life. Either way, you will absolutely love and adore this fabulous book!
I absolutely LOVE this book! It talks about teens and their challenges with BFFS, GF/BF and first love and break ups. All the stories are true, written by real kids. Some make you cry and some make you laugh. Either way, I LOVE THIS BOOK!!
The Chicken Soup series are always something to look forward to. These books are so inspirational to young adults, (and adults, as well.) These are stories you can relate to since they were written by people going through that story. You can feel what they are going through, especially if you went through the same thing. By, the title you can guess this book is for young adults. I would recommend this book to any young adult looking for good stories to read.
This book was very interesting it coukd be read by both boys and girls and teaches you about life in a new way. The book is made up of about thirty different true stories of young people's lives. Some are about friendship, or enemies, and others are about, hard times, love, and challenges. There is also parts on death. this book made me cry a little for two reason. Joy of someone elses happiness and pure sorrow. It makes you think about your life and everyone's around you. I almost felt like i've meet these authors by the connection i mase and the power of the words.
This book is amazing. Filled with many short stories you just can't put it down. It can make you laugh and cry in the same night. The stories are so heart touching and emotional. I have read this book over many times, sometimes just picking out one or two stories and sometimes reading the whole book for hours on end. I highly recommend this book to everybody.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is DEFINITELY one of the best books I have ever read. And, it is one of my only books that my Mum enjoyed reading.
This book is filled with short stories and poems. Some are funny, others are serious, some have both elements. But, all the stories/ poems are sure to touch your heart and stay with you for a long time.
Here I must add that I also highly enjoyed reading the second, third and fourth books in the series and also the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff and Chciken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Love and Friendship.
A must read!
I especially like reading poetry and stories about and by teens because they deal with such important issues. This book has such good writings about so many issues, such as love, loss, hope, and self-image. I would highly recommend this book to any teenager. One of my favorites is "If" by Rudyard Kipling.
This is a wonderful book, by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Kimberly Kirberger. The stories either makes you laugh or make you cry. This book has something for everyone.
I would have to say my favourite story was Ill Always be with You, by Dale and Dar Emme. It is about Michael Emme a straight A 17 year-old, who had a bad break-up and decided to shot himself at 11:45pm. Not soon after the rest of his family arrived, 7 minutes to late!
Because of Michaels death, The Yellow Ribbon Project was born. That is why I love this book, it teaches us teenagers what is right or wrong, to be brave no matter what, and not to give up hope.
