I saw the film first and enjoyed it so I then read the book. The lead character is a girl who has to take on a challenge for her family where you fight in a set of games to get rewards and if you fail then you die. Once I read it I had to read the others.
Good Points
very good acting
wonderful story line
A film different from the others

One of those movies, that I can watch over and over, and still plays with my emotions every time!
Good Points
I was iffy about, because Jennifer is not really how Katniss is described, but once I saw it I was like yup, "Nailed it" The rest of the cast is great, can't wait for "Catching Fire"

Everything about the movie was particularly well done. It was fairly true to the book, but changed little things to make it flow even better on the scene. I was particularly pleased at the behind the scenes things in Panem that the book couldn't convey through Katniss' POV.

I love this movie. I read the all three of the books before I saw The Hunger Games. There are things different between the book and the movie but I still love it. There are some things that I would have liked to see in the movie that was in the book that they took out, like the daisy scene which I love. But, even without some of these scenes I still love it.

Good Points
They kept pretty close to the book and if you had never read the book it would be a really good movie. I really think they chose the right actors and the effects are amazing

I’m not one of those people who obsess over whether or not a book and its movie counterpart are exactly the same.

Scene by scene.
Word for word.

I realize that this is not always possible.

However, it always seems that the littlest things that matter the most are completely ruined in the movie. By either being changed or completely left out. (I’m speaking of Madge here!)

And the only complaint I really have about this movie is that Madge was completely left out. (I mean really! How hard would it have been to put her in there!? What? It would’ve added about another 10 minutes worth of footage. Big whoop. The film was already 2 hours and 23 minutes long. I think she could’ve been fit in!)

Anyways, I really liked everything else about this movie.
The action was great.
The dialogue was almost perfect.
The acting and actors chosen to play all characters was spot on. (Except for Liam Hemsworth. But that is just my personal preference, and the fact that he is associated with Miley Cyrus. Cause I hate her.)

Overall, a pretty good adaptation of the book. I'm really excited to see how they will do Catching Fire.
Finnick! :)
