Meet Mindy McGinnis!
Mindy McGinnis is an Edgar Award-winning author and assistant teen librarian who lives in Ohio. She graduated from Otterbein University with a degree in English Literature and Religion, and sees nothing wrong with owning nine cats. Two dogs balance things out nicely.
Meet This Darkness Mine!
Sasha Stone knows her place—first-chair clarinet, top of her class, and at the side of her Oxford-wearing boyfriend. She’s worked her entire life to ensure her path to Oberlin Conservatory as a star musician is perfectly paved. But suddenly there’s a fork in the road in the shape of Isaac Harver. Her body shifts toward him when he walks by, and her skin misses his touch even though she’s never known it. Why does he act like he knows her so well—too well—when she doesn’t know him at all. Sasha discovers that her by-the-book life began by ending the chapter of another: the twin sister she absorbed in the womb. But that doesn’t explain the gaps of missing time in her practice schedule, or the memories she has of things she certainly never did with Isaac. Armed with the knowledge that her heart might not be hers alone, Sasha must decide what she’s willing to do—and who she’s willing to hurt—to take it back.
~ Guest Post ~
I always have an operating title in my head while I'm working on a manuscript, usually something humorous and a bit kooky, but that captures the feel of the book perfectly. I called THIS DARKNESS MINE "Fight Club In The Band Room."

The summary is awesome! Added it to my TBR list right away.
I don't think I expected such a powerfully charged story based on the simple cover.
The truth is that at first glance I didn't really think there was anything special about the cover, but reading the synopsis made me extremely curious about the book and had me looking back at the cover suddenly curious about that as well.
This novel sounds so interesting; I really want to read it now because that synopsis was so intriguing. The cover is fascinating as well. I like how she's somewhat hidden, like the twin and just like Sasha's secrets.
